Where Your Money Will Go
We reckon we’ll need around £200,000 to record all 100+ pieces of music on perhaps 10–12 CDs (we can’t be sure, of course, since most of the pieces are still being written and so we don’t know how long they will be), and so far we have raised only around £5,000 of that amount.
Our hope is that we can generate enough to cover all the costs involved in the recordings so that any remaining revenue from the sales can go to our five deserving causes:
- Cancer Research UK, which ‘pioneers research to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured’
- MacMilllan Cancer Support, which provided practical and moral support for Yodit in her illness
- Winston’s Wish, the leading childhood bereavement charity in the UK, which offers practical support and guidance to bereaved children, their families and professionals, and which was invaluable in preparing Alex, Yodit’s son. for his mother’s death
- A trust fund for Alex
- Toccata Classics, so as to be able to fund any later recordings in this series.
